I've been wanting to write down some of the cute things the kids say to try and remember them for later. It's all going by too fast, and there's a lot I've already forgotten. One of my favorites is always the prayers. Babycakes has an especially cute way of praying that even though he probably could say clearer, he just doesn't yet. And I'm okay with that. No need to rush this stage in my opinion.
Babycakes always starts out, "Heddy Fadder.....fanksa for dis day.....eeeee beckings." Which translates to "Heavenly Father, thankful for this day and our blessings." He used to always stop at this point and wait to be prompted further, but lately he'll continue on his own with something like, "fanksa for the Christmas spirit" and "please bless we can put up a tree." He's ticked at me for taking that down. He absolutely loved Christmas and would walk around shouting out to everyone, "Do you have the Christmas spirit?!" I wish you could hear it. The tone he used was half of the cuteness.
Babycakes is really starting to grow up. He's all of a sudden interested in helping out, with everything from making breakfast to picking up trash; a strange obsession that started when I made the boys throw away some broken toys. For some reason they got a kick out of doing it and are always asking me if they can carry around trash bags now. He's also for the first time loving to play in the snow with P Doodle for more than a few minutes at a time. I do think that the small sledding hill Daddy showed them in the front yard was a big help in that. ;)
Babycakes has started reading lessons now as well as Parker. We're just in the first stages, but he's excited to be doing big boy things like his brother and is picking it up well. It's really helped him to want to talk more too. It's funny how different the kids' personalities can be. He is so content to be quiet, and although we know he can talk, Princess P actually does talk more than him. Babycakes is still in the stubborn stage of refusing to eat often. What is it about three? I have yet to have a three year old that would consistently eat dinner. Funny little snuggly boy!

That is super sweet. I love when they say their own prayers, so silly and sincere.
Okay... that Christmas Spirit stuff is too cute. I would LOVE to see him say that. So sweet!
That is too funny how he would ask people if they had Christmas spirit!! I laughed at that. What a cutie!
