New Laundry Link

Just in case any of you are trying any of my "homemade" ideas......I've been liking a different laundry soap recipe better than the one I originally tried and posted about. If you're interested, it can be found here. Recipe #9. There is also a great link to homemade laundry soap FAQ's and stain treating tips. Happy laundry time!

I will have to give this a try. Does it really get stains out? I have noticed that when I use Tide in cold water it doesn't get the stains out, but when I use the same detergent in warm water it does. And I am very particular about getting stains out. I hate when little kids wear stained clothing! (Just one of my many picadillos)

Jen-
I always pretreat my baby clothes with Spray-N-Wash and they come out fine.

But I did throw in a rug the other day that had spaghetti sauce dried on it and I didn't pretreat it at all and it came out clean.

I always leave my washer on the warm/cold setting, but to be honest, the water doesn't feel that warm....
Hope this helps!

How do you solve the static hair problem? I have that problem with shampoo and conditioner so I'm a little nervous. If it get's worse with baking soda I'd be walking around looking like I got zapped!

Emily-
I just run wet fingers through my hair, (not enough to really wet the hair, just get the static out) or I give it a zap of hairspray.

Sometimes too, when I'm brushing in the morning I get my brush a tad wet.
