Change is Good, and Laughs are Better
Today I am grateful for: 1) doorstep delivery diapers and 2) a good chuckle.
1) My favorite Kroger Comforts diapers sneakily went up in price lately. It was sneaky because they're still the same price, but there are now less diapers in the box. Add to that, that with the new Fresh Values Rewards program that there are no more baby points, and I am one unhappy mommy shopper. My sweet deal is gone. It is once again cheaper for me to buy diapers from Costco, but alas, we do not live near one. But, I can order them online, and they come right to my door! Oh happy day! My first box arrived today, and it was like Christmas already. I think I'm going to like this. Plus, way more diapers to a box, so I'll be buying less often. Bonus!
2) My sweet P Doodle man has quite the imagination, and unfortunately it runs away with him often. Today the catalyst was the shut-off valve for the water to the toilet. He asked me what it was, and I carelessly replied that that is where Daddy shuts off the water if he needs to fix something so it doesn't spray all over. Spray being the problem phrase. For some reason my boy is terrified of spraying water. Hot tub jets, showers, you name it, any form of spraying water is enough to send this kid into hysterics complete with convulsions. He has not been able to go potty all day without me accompanying him to the bathroom.
So, When Daddy came home I explained my mistake and asked him to rectify the situation. The result was a family trip to the bathroom for a demonstration on how the toilet flushes and does or does not refill the tank with water depending on how the valve is positioned. Parker had to be forced to be present for all of this. That, and the resulting questions and self-assurances that have followed have been too much for this mom to keep a straight face for today. Luckily we can blame Babycakes for doing something goofy when I need to laugh. But tonight, when I was putting Babycakes to bed, and I heard P Doodle's final conversation with Daddy I completely lost it. I was laughing harder than I've laughed in a loooooong time. Fortunately Babycakes thought it was great and laughed along with me for no reason. It was fun to have a little silly time together and enjoy a good laugh with someone who appreciated it. Dad and P Doodle waited it out in the living room thinking we were crazy. We probably are, but that's okay. They still love us!

I love this story! I can totally picture Brandon having to explain it all and you and Babycakes laughing together. So cute. PS- I did not know Costco did such things! Very cool!
