Good Times

We spent some time this weekend with our favorite family, the Speirs, (Brandon's Uncle Clint and Aunt Mindy). They were camping Friday night, and it was a pretty quick drive from our place; so although we weren't ready to stay overnight, we had dinner and some good times with them.
I think that Brandon was the biggest kid of them all.

I think Andrew would have been happy playing on the steps of the camper all night.....Parker on the other hand, had to follow the big kids around and play in the dirt. I'm absolutely amazed at how dirty kids get camping. We were there for not even ten minutes, and Parker's face was one big dirt smear. I didn't even bother to wipe it off, because I knew I'd be fighting a losing battle there. And he was just being a boy......let him have his fun right?

Levi was nice and patient enough to push Andrew around on this little tractor while all the other kids took turns on the four-wheeler.

Of course, Parker and his favorite friend Luke! I think the hit of the night was smores around the campfire. Can you believe we've never taken our kids camping, and they've never had smores? We're bad parents. This summer totally got away from us. Maybe next summer.

We did have a really fun weekend though. Saturday we hit up the farmer's market here in town; we were totally disappointed by the selection, and didn't buy anything but a bar of soap, but we let the kids play in the park for a little while afterwards, and then we hit the library. Sunday it was more fun with the Speirs as we traded kids to be able to go to different sessions of the Oquirrh Mountain Temple dedication, (which was awesome by the way....I'm so glad they were able to broadcast that to all of Utah!) and then we had dinner together afterwards. Thanks for all the fun Speirs Family! We really enjoy your company.

We came to the same conclusion about the farmer's market ... total dissappointment. We're thinking of going to Logan to buy peaches to can.
