Happy Valentine's!

The boys and I had fun last week making Valentines for their grandparents and cousins. They were nothing too fancy, I just got some red fingerpaint and drew a heart and then put each of the boys' handprints on them. It was so funny to see the differences in the boys' personalities while we were doing this. Drew was all over it. He had fingerpaint all over his body within a few seconds of being given the fingerpaint. I let him have at it on his own paper while I got the valentines ready, and when he was done with that, he painted himself and the newspaper on the table. When I decided he'd had enough paint, he climbed on the table to go after more. He's such a funny little monkey! Parker, on the other hand, didn't want to get messy, and he preferred to dip a crayon in the fingerpaint, and use that to spread it on the paper. When I asked him to actually dip his hand in and make handprints, he refused until I bribed him with m&m's.
We had a great time doing this, and we hope everyone that got one enjoyed it.
Brandon and I are really lucky, we're spending Valentine's weekend this year in California. Brandon's company invited several employees and their spouses on a business retreat to a resort in Dana Point. So far, I've had two relaxing days enjoying the sights and some time to myself while Brandon has been attending classes on the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, which he has really enjoyed and learned a lot from. We've also had a lot of really yummy gourmet food! Tomorrow we get to spend all day alone together, (which doesn't happen very often!!) and we come home Sunday. I miss my babies and can't wait to see them, but it has been so good for Brandon and I to have some special time with each other. Thanks to BHI for the trip, and to Grandpa and Grandma Morgan for watching the kids for us! Hopefully I'll be able to post some fun pictures later from our trip.
